Superintendent of Schools

  • Hello fellow Rebels!

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!  This year's calendar is jam-packed with events and information which you will be able to refer to for the entire year.  As always, some plans will be made at a later date and are not reflected in this calendar –please keep up with these additions by visiting our website frequently throughout the school year.

We’ve all struggled through a difficult year and would like this school year to be a re-start to making our schools the “community center” that all of our students and parents need!  We are working hard this summer to plan events and activities for parents and students after the school day.  NYS Aid for schools includes a line for Community Schools. Therefore, to make it easier for families to attend (also gives mom and dad a break from preparing dinner!), many of the early evening activities we are planning will include dinner and an activity.  We’d like you to know we are here for you and your students even after the school day ends.  Please encourage your students to take advantage of these programs – and I am encouraging all parents to take advantage with your children!

Even without the “Community School” activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy happening at our schools.  We may be a rural community, but we are pleased that your school district can offer you some of the entertainment options you may not get to in the city.   If you are a sports fan, please join us at any of our home games!  Because we want everyone to have the opportunity to cheer on our Rebel athletes – we never charge an entrance fee! You can find the full sports schedule on our webpage under sports.

Maybe you’d like to hear some of the beautiful music that our band and chorus students make with their voices and instruments.  We have several opportunities for concerts and events for both our elementary student artists and our Jr/Sr High School talented students.  Let’s not forget our performing artists on stage, make sure you check out those performances as well!!

As always, we want your input and ideas regarding the district’s needs as well as the needs for your students.  Our mission is “Because we believe in the potential of each student, we provide diverse opportunities and a competitive education for all learners.”  We need your input to fulfill our mission!  Please stay in touch and take part in our Community Schools evenings with your students!

     Proud to be a Rebel
