Superintendent Knuth to take position in the Skaneateles School District
Dear Altmar Parish Williamstown Community,
In early February Superintendent Knuth reached out to Board President Mark Mattison and Board Vice President Shawn Clark to let us know that he was interviewing for a superintendent position at another school district. Later that month on February 24, 2020 an emergency board meeting was called for the purpose of executive session, at which time Mr. Knuth advised the board that he was being called back for stakeholder interviews as a finalist for the position.
On behalf of the APW Board of Education we would like to wish Mr. Knuth the best in his future endeavors with the Skaneateles School District. His last day with the district will be June 30, 2020 at which time it is expected that all contractual obligations for both parties will be fulfilled to their entirety.
We have met with District Superintendent Chris Todd and will shortly begin the process of selecting our next leader for APW. The board has directed board leadership to sit with stakeholder groups, prior to interviews for the superintendent position, to see what our employees and community would like to see in the next leader.
This process will take time, however, it is our desire to have a new superintendent in place and ready to begin their role here at APW on July 1, 2020. Our goal is to provide updates throughout the search via our website to keep the community up to date on where we are in process.
This is an exciting time for APW as we search out the best we can for our students, staff and community.
