APW CSD holds ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil brand-new auditorium

The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new auditorium with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at APW Junior-Senior High School. The event, held just before the school’s holiday music concert, brought together students, faculty and community members for an evening of music and community pride.

School administrators, APW Board of Education members and representatives of GYMO Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering and Land Surveying were in attendance for the special occasion, all having played a key role in bringing this project to life.

District Superintendent Dr. Naomi Ryfun addressed the audience from the stage. “This state-of-the-art auditorium is a centerpiece of the district’s recent capital project,” she said. “It stands as a testament to our community’s commitment to supporting the arts and providing students with a modern venue for performances and events.”

Immediately following the ceremony, JSHS band and chorus students were the first to play on the newly built stage, marking a memorable debut for the venue.

“We extend our gratitude to everyone involved in making this vision a reality,” added Dr. Ryfun. “We are excited for this auditorium to serve as a space for creativity and community gatherings for years to come.”
