APW Elementary Hosts Third Annual Trunk or Treat

APW Elementary hosted the Third Annual Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 30. The event was held in the cafeteria due to weather conditions, but the threat of rain did not stop our school community from coming out to celebrate with us. The turnout at Trunk or Treat was incredible, with the line wrapping down the length of the parking lot over 45 minutes into the event. Families waited patiently in line, mingling and posing for photos, as they made their way into the cafeteria to trick-or-treat. Our generous staff, alumni and volunteers handed out candy at various booths decorated in themes like Jurassic Park and The Wizard of Oz. Elementary School Principal, Dawn Cooley, was ecstatic at the turnout and opportunity to provide a warm, safe environment for the school community to enjoy some Halloween fun. “The turnout this year was great, with some families waiting over an hour in line, but every trick-or-treater was able to get through line and leave with some treats. We’re grateful for the turnout of the community,” said Cooley. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this possible for our school community!
