Candidate Information

  • There is a total of three (3) openings on the Board of Education for three-year terms, commencing July 1, 2024 and expiring on June 30, 2027.

    Interested candidates must pick up a candidate packet. Candidate petitions should be picked up with the District Clerk in order to verify eligibility to become a board member. A person can pick up a petition at the District Office at 639 County Route 22, Parish, New York. Nominating petitions must be filed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on school days when the District Office is open. (This seems repetitive, please update how you see fit)

    Completed petitions must be turned into the District Clerk no later than Monday, April 22, 2024 by 5 p.m.

    The candidate qualifications are:

    1. Must be a citizen of the United States.
    2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
    3. Must have been a resident of the district for a continuous period of at least 1 year immediately prior to the election.
    4. Must be able to read and write.
    5. Must be the only member of his or her family residing in the same household on the school board.

    Please bring identification to confirm age and residency.

    The Board Member Nomination Petition will be made available on February 1, 2024.

    Each petition must be addressed to the District Clerk, Stacey Mailloux and have 25 signatures from qualified voters.

    Expenditure Dates:

    • 1st Expenditure Due - April 22, 2024
    • 2nd Expenditure Due - May 16, 2024
    • 3rd Expenditure Due - June 10, 2024
